HEALTH INSURANCE AND YOUR TAX RETURN

Starting January 2021, due to recent tax law changes1, if you either bought your health plan on our Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) website2 or got your BCBSTX health plan through your job3, the IRS says you no longer need Form 1095-B to file your federal income taxes.

Since you won’t need this document for tax filing, it will only be mailed to you if you ask. Here’s what you need to do to ask for your Form 1095-B.

Getting Your Form 1095-B
